The Position

The Calile is Brisbane’s premier event venue, hosting an extensive range of exceptional functions from intimately styled dinners to multi-day conferences and everything in between. We seek an experienced Assistant Conference and Events Manager to bring our guest’s vision to life.

  • Assisting the Conference & Events Manager in ensuring all events align with the brand guidelines and the guest experience is exceeded.
  • Learning and Development: Coaching and training team members to support the employee and guest journey.
  • Team focus: To encourage everyone to understand The Calile cultural values and to build a team that supports and respects all.
  • Full availability around a 7-day roster is required.

Please note: You should have a minimum up to 1 year previous experience in the above or similar roles.


REQUIREMENTS

About you

  • Two years of previous experience in a comparable position within a high-end event venue or a prestigious 5-star hotel.
  • Familiarity with the Bepoz point of sales system or a similar platform (preferred).
  • Possession of a degree or diploma in hotel or hospitality management (desirable).
  • Proficiency in overseeing diverse teams, ensuring their ongoing enthusiasm for their roles, and effectively communicating The Calile's vision to our guests.
  • Capacity to handle various administrative tasks simultaneously while remaining engaged and accessible to the team.
  • Ability to thrive independently in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.
  • Demonstrated excellence in organisation and time management.
  • Keen attention to detail.
